Thank God:
· That the meeting with the Mborena Kam translation board and translators went well. Give thanks for the plan that took shape during the meeting, a plan that will result in both a polished text and an audio recording of the entire New Testament.
· For sustaining Mike through a very intense week of meetings.
· For Eunice’s progress in her editing work for PBT’s magazine The Latest Word.
· That baby Willa received her PNG visa last week so her family can return to PNG “on time” this week.
Please Pray:
· For the Akukem translation team as they meet for three days this week to discuss the spelling decisions made during a recent work session. Two key members of the team were unable to come to town. It is very important that they understand and accept the decisions made by those who did come. Pray for the men who will present these decisions and explain the reasons behind them, that they will speak clearly and that they will remember all the factors that brought them to the conclusions that they made. Pray that the time will be unified in endorsing the proposed changes.
· For a productive work week for each of us, our last full week before we take a short (and much-needed!) break.
· For joy in celebrating the resurrection of our Lord on Sunday, both with our church family and later as we host Easter dinner for our teammates.
· For restoration of reliable power here in Madang and for ongoing efforts to rebuild damaged bridges and roads.
