Thank God:
· For safe and pleasant travel from Los Angeles back to Madang. We slept more than usual (though still not enough!) on the long flight across the Pacific Ocean, made each connection with comfortable amounts of time to spare, sped through Customs, checked our 166+ pounds of luggage for our final flight without hearing any mention of being w-a-y over the domestic allowance, and touched down in Madang right on time.
· That Mike’s “buggy” feelings didn’t develop into anything more serious than runny nose and congested sinuses.
· That our bodies seem to be adjusting well to the 14-hour time difference between here and LA.
· For reunions with friends at church Sunday and with many co-workers (with more reunions to come this week).
Please Pray:
· That we will quickly settle back into our work responsibilities here.
· For Eunice as she meets with others today regarding a course that is scheduled later this month to equip Mbore teachers how to use our Elementary Prep curriculum. Much about this course is unique. Pray for wisdom and discernment in discussing various potentially sensitive topics and for unity in conclusions reached.
· For Mike as he spearheads preparations for our team’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which begins in two weeks.
· For peace and unity on our team, especially as we prepare for our AGM and as we discuss many challenging topics during our AGM.
· For our son Josh as he moves to Austin this week, that God will provide him suitable housing and employment as a fitness instructor.
