Thank God:
· For the safe return of our co-workers from their various ministry-related travels. We’re eager to hear details from both groups: those who spent a week teaching at a Bible school, and those who visited villages in four language communities to discuss how we can work together to bring about mother tongue Bible translation and literacy.
· For progress in plans for the Hope for a Better Future church conference that will occur here in Madang early next month. We now have a venue, and the schedule of speakers and presenters is taking shape nicely.
Please Pray:
· For God’s comfort for our minister and his family here in Madang as they grieve the death of their 18-year-old daughter.
· For Mike, local church and community leaders, and others involved in planning for the Hope for a Better Future church conference in early October. Many important details are still pending.
· For Eunice as she faces a week of intense work on articles for PBT’s magazine The Latest Word.
· For our entire team as we participate in a short spiritual retreat beginning next Sunday. Pray also for retreat leaders Steve and Becky, who are traveling from the U.S. They will be staying with us during their two weeks in PNG. Pray for times of sweet, rich fellowship.
