November 2013 Update

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

On this Thanksgiving Day in America, as we pause from our busy schedules, we want to give thanks for all of our supporters who have made the dream of SOTIRIA International a reality. Because of your encouragement, prayers, and financial support, we have been able to make progress in our fight to eradicate poverty in our lifetime. Although we have yet to reach thousands or millions of people, every life that has been released from poverty is vitally important.

Today as you give thanks to God for all of your blessings in your life, remember the entrepreneurs who have received training, loans, support, and Bible training. Today, and everyday, they give thanks for you and your faithful support. Individual lives, families, and whole communities are being transformed for the good because of you. We at SOTIRIA International pray that God’s blessings that you have shared with others may be returned to you.

“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)

This month we want to specifically thank all those who made our trip to the International Conference on Missions a possibility. Without your support we would not have been able to make the trip; and consequently, we would not have been able to spread the word about SOTIRIA INTERNATIONAL to a whole new group of individuals and churches. Besides all of the wonderful contacts for new potential supporters, we also made connections with 2 new potential ministry partners — one in Zimbabwe and the other in Tanzania. Praise the Lord, God is continuing to open the door for us in east Africa. Thank you for helping to make this conference a reality! On top of all of those wonderful connections, I was able to meet with Stan Rowland, the founder of CHE (Community Health Evangelism). The principles in CHE are the foundation upon which our ministry in micro-finance is developed. It was encouraging to meet with the founder of this movement and to receive his affirmation that we are headed in the right direction. We are now connected on LinkedIn and will continue to seek his wisdom as we move forward releasing families from poverty in the name of Jesus.
