2013 Year in Review! – Don Anderson

The PNHI Board of Directors and the South American field team would like to send you our heartfelt greeting as we have begun our ninth year of operations. The importance of your partnership cannot be adequately expressed in words. Your continued partnership was essential to accomplish the work summarized in this 2013 report. Here are some of the great things we have accomplished by the grace of God in 2013: Healthy indigenous South American teams are working effectively in eight barrios in Trujillo, Peru and Santo Domingo, Ecuador led by our North American missionary family, the Bukta’s. Read more

Bendiciones Amados Hermanos y Hermanas! Mike & Dani Bukta

Thank you dear friends! That is such a powerful word… friends! I think of how the apostle Paul wrote to the brothers at Philippi, exulting in the relationship he had with them. Our partnership in the Gospel (as he put it) is a treasure, indeed. So as we look back on 2013 I’m happy to reflect on our mutual shared commitment to the work of Project New Hope International. I also have a sense of the great apostle’s mixed view of the kingdom progress and challenges. He spent time treading water when his ship was in trouble and sinking in the storm. Here at PNHI we can identify with his highs and lows. Read more

Ecuador & Peru Updates

LEGALIZING THE CHURCH IN ECUADOR We are in the process of legalizing the church in Ecuador. We’ve had general meetings to start the processes of electing the church committee members and completing all the legal requirements. We are looking forward to seeing the church grow this year! MISSION TRIP: PERU TO ECUADOR We had a very fruitful month seeing the Holy Spirit work in people’s lives. The church in Peru sent 13 people to Ecuador for their second mission trip. The trip was encouraging for everyone. We spent the afternoon and evening working together in the barrios. The Peruvians were able to participate in the celebration of the final soccer tournament. It was a blessing to see the growth of the Peruvian leaders, and the way they connected with the church on this mission trip was beneficial for all. One of our goals for this year is to bring a team from Ecuador to Peru to work together, grow spiritually, and help grow the Kingdom of God. Read more
