PROJECTS AROUND THE WORLD

FAME is blessed to be able to partner with missionaries and other mission organizations all around the world in providing grants for sustainable healthcare projects. From clinics and hospitals, to mobile medical vehicles, FAME is passionate about providing the funding needed so that people around the world can be healed both spiritually and physically. Recently FAME approved 5 additional sustainable projects. These projects include:

• Mission: Philippine Mission Church of Christ- Dr. B. James McElroy
  Location:  Aparri, Philippines
  Funding Goal:  $33,000
  Sustainable Project:  Complete the 3rd floor of existing hospital.
• Mission: His Eyes- Felipe & Valerie Colby
  Location:  Tegucigalpa, Honduras Funding Goal:  $17,500
  Sustainable Project:  4×4 Land Cruiser hardtop ambulance.
• Mission: Christian Vision Eye Services to Haiti- Christianville – David and Lori Geddes
  Location:  Gressier, Haiti
  Funding Goal:  $10,000
  Sustainable Project:  Solar panels and battery power supply.
• Mission: Central India Christian Mission – Dr. Ajai Lall
  Location:  Damoh, India
  Funding Goal:  $60,000
  Sustainable Project:  Additional hospital building to meet growing ministry and needs.
• Mission: Christ Reaching Asia Mission Worldwide – C.Y. Kim
  Location:  Bacoor City, Philippines
  Funding Goal: $25,000
  Sustainable Project:  New medical clinic.

ADVENTURES IN THAILAND AND MYANMAR

Last month FAME had teams in both Myanmar and Thailand operating medical camps, teaching classes in health education, and conducting a pastor’s conference. 

In regard to Myanmar, it is a country of 50 million people coming out of 60 years of self-isolation.  It is young with 45% of the population under the age of 25.  With over 85% of the population claiming to be Buddhist, there is a need for the gospel which our partners serve daily to present.

Giving to Medical Evangelism opens doors. These teams saw 635 patients and fitted 328 pairs of glasses in Thailand and Myanmar over the 14 days they served. But possibly the symbolism of the glasses given is one of the greatest stories of the trip. One day our team was visited by a number of Buddhist monks who were fitted for glasses. As they were preparing to leave and handed their glasses, Marilyn Illman was heard to tell each of them, “Now you can see.”

Your support allows FAME to continue to bring sight to those who did not see. Even when the enemy tries to stop the Lord’s work, the Lord opens eyes to the gospel.
