SOS Call!
A couple weeks ago FAME sent out an urgent plea to our supporters on behalf of our Myanmar mission partner, Simon Thaung, of Asia Christian Services. Our FAME medical teams have worked with Simon on several trips in the last couple of years and they know first hand what a great work he is doing there.
We continue to receive updates and photos from Simon which we have posted to the Myanmar Flood Relief page. Here’s Simon’s recent update:
“Dear Friends, I am sending up date photos of Josiah and Adam’s Relief mission to Kalay and Chin hill, one of the most devastated areas.
Josiah and Adam purchased the Food and relief supplies at Kalay city and carried by scooter and then carried by Motor Bikes again to reach the hopeless, helpless, hunger villagers.
Josiah said…
‘Over 30 villages were flushed and swept away and now covered by mud and unable to live again. They have to move it. They have to start all over again from ZERO.
The Stream was about 70 foot wide before but now wider more than 500 foot.
All barns were destroyed and rice bags were spoiled. Many Christians wear rag clothes, putting ashes on the head and PRAYING as the time of mourning like the BIBLE.
They deeply appreciated our help and SEE THE RAY OF HOPE IN CHRIST, REMEMBERING JESUS’ PROMISES… I will not forsake, and be with you until the end of the world.
This food supply will only survive a month for their family. They trust God for future need.”
This national emergency presents an opportunity for Christians to share the love of God and witness to so many.
“The needs are too great as 12 States from 14 were effected. Once again, Thank you for your Prayer support and showing God’s Love.” stated Simon.
