“Tokata” Means Future, and The Future Has Arrived!
 
 
Beginning in January 2015, Diamond Willow Ministries (DWM) assumed operation of what was the local Boys and Girls Club building (the Mel and Elnita Rank Center) located at the main intersection of the primary community on the reservation, Fort Thompson.  This wonderful building, only a little over two years old, was renamed the Tokata Youth Center
 
The decision to take on this ministry came after many months of prayer and seeking counsel and guidance.   The decision was then powerfully affirmed when the Tribal Council, the governing body of the Tribe, unanimously passed  a resolution in support of this decision.  This major step forward with the ministry has been further confirmed by the youth themselves
