Many Bibleless, churchless people groups live in places inaccessible to Pioneer Bible Translators personnel. Diaspora projects seek to identify immigrants from these areas, minister to them, and mobilize them to translate God’s Word for their own people.
Sunday
Immigrants from difficult-to-access areas can become virtually invisible in their new locations. Pray that God will bring to our attention those with whom He would like us to work.
Monday
Building trust with members of these communities can be difficult. Pray that God will enable our personnel to develop relationships that can lead to opportunities to minister to them.
Tuesday
Our personnel must proceed cautiously as they identify specific individuals with whom they will work. Pray that God will grant discernment to recognize potential team members.
Wednesday
Diaspora projects also require the involvement of people who still live in the language community’s homeland. Pray that God will orchestrate the selection of these team members.
Thursday
Team members who serve in their home areas may incur great risk. Pray that God will protect them and their families.
Friday
Diaspora projects require effective use of collaborative techniques so that team members can work together despite being geographically separated. Pray for wisdom in selecting and implementing appropriate ways to do this.
Saturday
We desire to see transformed lives through God’s Word in every language. Pray for the transformation of entire language communities served as Diaspora projects.
