Sunday
“Be holy, because I am holy” (Leviticus 11:44b).
Pray that they will lead holy lives.
Monday
“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).
Pray that they will genuinely love each other in ways that point others to Christ. Pray that this love will be evident in how they take care of each other.
Tuesday
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25).
Pray that their lives will be controlled by the Holy Spirit. Pray that the fruit of the Holy Spirit’s presence will be evident to all.
Wednesday
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:2).
Pray that they will mature as they feast on God’s Word.
Thursday
“Those who suffer should … continue to do good” (1 Peter 4:19).
Pray that they will stand strong when they are persecuted because of their faith.
Friday
“You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes, with Your right hand You save me” (Psalm 138:7).
Pray that God will protect them when they face spiritual opposition. Pray for grace to respond in love when they are treated unjustly because of their faith.
Saturday
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
Pray that their lives will cause others to glorify God. |
