Meet Violet

A native of Oregon, Violet became a believer in 2002 through the ministry of Celebrate Recovery. Her active involvement in Marcola Christian Church and her studies at Boise Bible College connected her in various ways to CMF throughout the years. A short-term trip to Mexico in 2008 sparked Violet’s interest in cross-cultural ministry and Mexican culture. In addition to other short-term experiences, Violet had the opportunity to take a vision trip to CMF’s church planting ministry in Mexico City in 2015.

The experience confirmed her call to long-term missions, specifically in Mexico. This, combined with her passion for leading others to Jesus through Christ-centered addiction recovery, has compelled her to take the next step with CMF for service.

REACH 2017: Imagine More

Since the beginning of the year, CMF has prayed, dreamed, and emphasized the vision of Imagine More. This vision applies to all that we do, including our REACH internship program. We invite you to Imagine More for your summer, your relationship with God and your future by participating in REACH for eight weeks next summer!

With more than 13 placement options, including new fields such as Malawi, interns will have the opportunity to engage in and support the ministries of experienced CMF teams around the world. No matter what you’ve been doing with your previous summers, those things have shaped you to Imagine More for the life you want to live, the person you want to become and the direction that God wants YOU to go!

Where could I serve?

Take a look at all of our updated personnel needs here. If none of these seem like a good fit for you, we’re happy to talk about other opportunities that may be a good match. Some current needs include the following:

Agricultural Specialist: Ivory Coast

An individual with expertise in agriculture or farming is needed in this ministry. An established team already on the ground uses Community Health Evangelism (CHE) as a ministry strategy. Because the Ivory Coast has many natural resources, farming is a legitimate way of making an income and providing for one’s family. This individual would work alongside the CHE program to help educate nationals on successful farming techniques and also explore ways of growing other plants or food. A background in agriculture and a four-year commitment is required.

Student Minister: Ukraine

Our Ukraine team is looking for a teammate (single or couple) willing to assist with the work in L’viv. Right now there is one couple whose focus is on student ministry. They would love teammates to work alongside them and their Ukrainian partners. The desire to learn and operate in the Ukrainian language is a must. They are looking for a long-term commitment of two to four years.

Globalscope Campus Ministers: Puebla, Mexico

The team is looking for young, committed individuals or families who want to minister to students at Mexico’s top universities in Puebla through the El Pozo campus ministry. Candidates should be self-motivated, dedicated people who have bought into the vision of this established ministry: to love students, know Jesus, and change the world. You must have a passion for learning Spanish, connecting with students, and serving in a variety of campus ministry tasks.

Visit Us at ICOM

CMF is once again looking forward to attending and participating in the International Conference on Missions (ICOM) in Lexington, Kentucky, November 17-20. ICOM will be filled with hundreds of exhibitors and missionaries who are passionate about missions.

The theme for this year’s conference is MOBILIZE: Disciples Making Disciples. ICOM’s 2016 President described this theme this way: “It will be a time to listen to practitioners (nationals and missionaries) who have planted churches and started disciple-making movements globally. A supporting theme for ICOM 2016 is the use of technology to enhance and mobilize the process of making disciples.”

Come visit CMF at booth #511 and have the opportunity to grow through worship, workshops, and connections with more than 200 other organizations, churches, and colleges who will be present at the conference. You can register by clicking HERE.
