BUV draws interest at Tanzania trade fair Posted: 13 Jul 2015 06:51 AM PDT The basic utility vehicle (BUV) attracted a lot of interest when it was on display recently at the Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair in Tanzania, reports CMF missionary Scott Price.
“BUV Tanzania was invited to participate in the fair, which was held in the largest city in Tanzania,” said Scott.
Scott leads the business-as-mission team that manufactures, sells and rents basic utility vehicles. The ministry provides jobs for nationals in Arusha, where the shop is located, and sturdy, basic transportation in the rural areas of the country.
The trade fair is a major annual promotional event organized by the government’s Board of External Trade and has established itself as the shop window for products from Tanzania.
“A lot of interest was shown in the BUV, and many government officials recognized its potential to provide transportation in the vast rural areas of this country,” Scott said. “This was a wonderful opportunity for government officials and business leaders to become more familiar with BUV Tanzania.
“Please pray for far-reaching, God-given favor from this exposure,” added Scott. |
