Today we would like to pray for the persecuted. In our focus area of India, Christians represent less than 2% of the population. Join us in praying for the families affected by persecution. CICM has a home on the border of Orissa where the majority of children are there because they have lost their parents due to religious hate crimes.

Prayer is vital to change the religious temperature in India. Please pray that God would soften the hearts of those who violently oppose Christians. Pray that believers would be bold in their faith, trusting God in times of trial and holding fast to His promises.

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.” 1Peter 4:12-14
