Many people in India believe any physical deformity is because of sins in a past life. Those who are born with these defects are cursed and excluded from communities. This includes those with a cleft lip and palate. CICM has partnered with the LEAP Foundation in making a difference in these children’s lives. Every year the Leap Foundation goes to India, performing surgeries to help these children become a part of society.
