DEAR FAITHFUL C.B.M. PARTNERS AND FRIENDS, JANUARY 23, 2018
It has been a really cold time for us during these last few weeks here in the U.S. When we left Brazil November 9 it was over 100 degrees. We have had some excellent times with our children and families as well as being able to speak or meet with 20 of our supporting churches. We are trying to visit some of our partner churches during the months of November, December and January each year, instead of taking a year´s furlough.
We would like to schedule either a visit to your church on Sunday or just a meeting with your Missions Committee sometime during the week if possible. We will give preference to those who respond first. Dates available for the end of 2018 and January 2019 are the following:
Sunday dates available: December 9, 16, 30 – January 6, 13, and 20. We can work out meetings
or visits during week nights if you let us know. Michael is also available on weekends to speak if contacted at least two months in advance.
The boat crew has worked hard during the last few weeks getting the boat ready for the 12 trips this year. The upper part of the boat was extended to match the lower part that was extended last year. Most of the rooms now have new flooring and ceiling as well as having been painted. The upper deck where we have the hammocks has been remodeled and the entire boat painted. A “New Mattress Campaign” was started in December and funds came in right away. New mattresses and pillows were purchased and are ready for the first trip. Thanks to those who participated.
We are now scheduling trips for 2021 (still open: May, September, October) and all months in 2022 available except July. We would love for you to experience this life-changing experience.
