Dear Friends,
I know many of your are also on face book and would know much of the information in this e-mail. However, I just wanted to cover all bases and let you know.

My Brother Tom Baker was admitted to the ICU Unit in a Longmont Hospital on January 12. At that time, he had several complications: Kidney, Heart, Gall Bladder, Pneumonia, low blood pressure and other problems. On January 21st. He went into surgery for the removal of his gall bladder. During the surgery, his heart stopped and the Doctors were not able to revive him. Yesterday, January 31, I officiated at his services. He was buried at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Our father passed away in 1958. At that time, my Mom purchased two lots. She was eventually buried in Gering, Nebraska. Tom was buried next to his father yesterday. The services went very well. Originally we were schedule for just a graveside service. Because of inclement weather, the service was changed to an inside location in the Pavilion. We did not think weather would permit a graveside service. However, the weather cleared and we were able to have both a chapel service and a graveside service. Because the services were moved inside, a lot more of Tom’s deaf friends were able to attend. We had an excellent translator for the deaf. Barb Coffan went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with translation for the deaf. Ten of Tom’s deaf friends were able to share their memories of Tom. He was loved by many and had a large group of Christian Deaf friends who provided major physical and spiritual support during the last several years. I shared thoughts from our daughter Barbie concerning Tom. Those thoughts were were very much appreciated by the deaf audience. I tailored my message to his deaf friends. (Even though there was a small group of hearing family members present from my side of the family.) We had a time of fellowship at a local buffet restaurant following the services. That time was also very special. I hope you enjoy the pictures, If you would like a copy of my remarks as well as Barbie’s thoughts, just let me know!

May the Lord Bless.
