Travel and Baby News!
After 3 countries, 4 passport stamps, 5 airports, 17 time zones, 23 hours in the air, and a total travel time of 90 hours we are safe and sound in Tennessee. Thank you all for your countless prayers and concern, you are truly a blessing to us!
We did experience a 5 hour flight delay in Sydney, Australia due to engine trouble with our plane which caused us to miss our connecting flights to Charlotte and then Tri-Cities. In order to fix the problem, Qantas put us up in a hotel Saturday night and provided us with meal vouchers. It was a nice break and gave us an opportunity to catch up a little on sleep before continuing on to TN on Sunday. We finally reached Tri-Cities, TN on Sunday night at about 8pm.
We were able to visit the doctor on Tuesday and have a real pre-natal visit for Baby Bennett #2, complete with bloodwork and ultrasound. They said that the baby looks healthy and set a due date of July 23. They were also able to tell us that Baby Bennett will be a boy. We can’t wait to meet him and introduce him to you!
Thank you again for your prayers, encouragement, and support. We are so glad to have survivied this long trip and be home with all of you for the birth of the baby.
Please keep praying not only for our family and the birth of the baby, but also for the VISTA project as our students continue to work on translating from the book of Genesis. Pray also for Craig as he finishes up preparation for the Hebrew course he will be teaching in September and begins preparation for further courses.
We hope to see many of you soon! |
