June 8, 2014
Greetings from Taiwan:
“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; before the ‘gods’ I will sing your praise.” (Ps 138:1) King David wasn’t the one who would build the magnificent temple for the God of Israel. Solomon, David’s son, would be ordained to build it. The fact that King David would not build it, did not stop him from making every conceivable preparation to insure that Solomon would succeed. Lately, I’ve been thinking about that a lot! (You’ll need to read our June newsletter for more on that — coming soon.)
The picture we’ve included should, in part, speak volumes. It doesn’t address the emotional, physical or even spiritual toll; nor is this all that still needs to come down by June 21st. We’re so grateful for those who have come alongside to assist us through this process! Please pray for us as we tackle this task! Lord, “With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” (Ps 18:29) Amen!
These next few weeks will also be filled with dinners, like the one tomorrow evening with my Monday night English class. Other than on moving day, we may not have opportunity to see some again. However, we’re praying that we see them again, in Heaven! Please pray with us!
We won’t speak of saying farewell to Come Church yet, as most are also involved in helping with the move and Sports & English Camp. Preparations for the later are ongoing.
Dan Robinson had surgery this past Thursday on his hip area, following the bike accident. Please pray for him as he begins the long process of recovery and rehab.
The June newsletter will arrive soon in your e-mail inbox. Thank you for your continued prayers.
All for God’s Glory Among the Nations,
