Update on Al Corson 5-23-2018
First of all we want to thank you for the prayers that were offered up in Al’s behalf.
Answered Prayers:
The Heart Catheterization procedure done on Thursday May 18 was positive in that when the doctors got in and checked out the aorta valve, it was not as narrow as the echocardiogram indicated. So, no Valve replacement is necessary currently. However, they did need to place a stent in the coronary artery (often called the widow maker). This artery was almost occluded. Al was feeling much better until Friday when he was to be discharged.
Prayers still needed:
Something in the groin area was causing increased pain. Several times he became pale, cool, clammy and heart rates dropped. He remained in the hospital for an extra day. The doctors thought he was experiencing a vagal nerve reaction. But he remains in pain. Today, May 23, they are going to do a CT scan to try and determine what is causing the pain. Please continue to lift him up in prayer.
Other needs:
With all the unexpected expenses of extended hospital stay, complications and tests to determine what is causing the pain, we will fall short in funds to be able to pay the bills, even with the insurance we have. Velma has not been able to work during all of this and her job will be finished in the first part of June. This will place a heavy burden on our finances. Please pray about this need and help if you can. If you choose to donate for Al’s medical and recovery expenses, they can be mailed to Po Box 2937, Mills, Wy 82644. Please mark them for Al Corson’s medical expenses.
