A Summer of Blessings

It’s been nearly a year since RoRo’s dream for reaching Belle Anse with the Gospel came true! Almost immediately after the revival, HCO purchased almost an acre of ground near the center of Belle Anse for $10,000 and started planning the construction of the church building. This summer, RoRo, our interns, and several teams visited the church site regularly to check on the construction progress, host a medical outreach, pray over the church and town, as well as prepare for a mini-revival in early August. Our students at Emmanuel Christian Schools have a little different schedule than most children in the States. In Haiti, our school calendar goes from September or October (depending on location) through mid-June. This year, we continue to have high expectations for our students to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and stature. For the first time in HCO’s history, this school year you can sponsor an individual child so that they can receive excellent education and spiritual training.

In this special blog, we are highlighting four students who need a sponsor. The first person to sign up to sponsor each child in the blog will receive his or her profile! This is a great opportunity to choose your specific child online!

God has been at work through HCO this summer in some wonderful ways! RoRo, Eline, Marcus, Arin, and the interns hosted teams from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Virginia this summer. Our interns, Larissa, Logan, Jillian, and Hannah, served well, learned a lot, and experienced many aspects of ministry, culture, and life in Haiti. With everyone working toward a common goal, we made great progress on many campus projects and did several community outreaches. Carol and John Remington were the first forwarding agents for RoRo and Eline when they started Haitian Christian Outreach. This summer, Carol finally was able to make her very first trip to Haiti to see first-hand the work that she and her husband helped make possible through their tireless efforts. We asked her to share about the early days and her thoughts about finally getting to see what God has done in and through RoRo, Eline, and HCO.
