Rejoice with Us!!!!

We are very excited to announce that on February 1st, another woman from our Compass group, Tanya, got baptized!!!  It has been such a joy and an honor to watch Tanya grown in her faith over the last year and finally, make the decision to take the first step of obedience in following Jesus and get baptized!  The same night that Tanya got baptized, Katya came up to us and let us know that she had accepted Jesus into her life the week before after Compass!  We are so excited for these women and can’t wait to see how God’s works in them and through them!

Ministry News…

It has been a busy couple of months!  We have visited one of the schools in Rakovka twice, once after Orthodox Christmas, and once for Valentine’s Day.  It was fun to watch the kids do a short play, make valentines, play games, and practice some English, and to share with them the real reason for Christmas, and what real love is!

We also had a really fun Mexican party for Compass, complete with tacos, spanish rice and sombreros!!!

We have a pretty busy schedule, but we love it that way!  Here is what our average week looks like:
Monday – Rakovka Church small group
Tuesday – English Evangelism in the center
Wednesday – morning – Jon teaches at the University, evening – English Evangelism in Rakovka
Thursday – morning – English Evangelism at our house, evening – English Evangelism in the center
Friday – morning – Jon teaches at the University, evening – Men’s and Women’s Bible Study at our house.
Saturday – Family/Free day
Sunday – morning – church in Rakovka, evening Compass.

We are so thankful for all of the opportunities that God has provided us to tell people about Him and the way to salvation!
We would love it if you would pick one day of the week to pray for us and that specific ministry!!!

Kid’s Corner

Well the kids just keep growing!  Jonah turned 9 on January 10th, and Isaac just turned 8 on February 25th!  Where does the time go?!?!

Jonah got to celebrate his birthday twice, once with his cousins, grandparents and aunt and uncle, and then he got to go to McDonald’s with Daddy, his brothers and a friend.

Isaac had a ninja party with his brothers and 3 friends.  It was a little crazy and loud, but it was a lot of fun!  The kids learned how to use chopsticks, folded origami throwing stars, colored ninjas and got to shoot at ninja balloons!  They also got personalized ninja headbands and bracelets to take home!

Alex is doing great and enjoying homeschool and his piano lessons.   He is such a smart boy and continues to get compliments on his ability to speak Russian without an accent!

Lauren is doing great too!  She crawls all over, pulls herself up on the furniture, and can stand by herself for a couple of seconds.  She babbles and laughs all the time and she LOVES her big brothers!  She is gaining more weight and is up to a whopping 15 3/4 pounds now!

Pray for Ukraine

1. Pray that the people of Ukraine would find peace and comfort in God in this time of war in our country.

2. Pray that our students would open their hearts and their lives to the Holy Spirit and accept Jesus as their Savior.

3. Pray that we would continue to follow God’s leading in where and how he wants us to serve him here in Ukraine.

4. Pray for Compass, that it would continue to grow and that it would become a stable and strong family for the new believers.
