NorthPointe Christian Church

Please pray for Steven. Steven is a young man who just started attending NorthPointe a few months ago. Earlier this year he lost his job due to cutbacks and last weekend he told me that his wife is leaving him. Steven is just exploring faith again after being hurt by a church several years ago. Please pray that Steven’s renewed faith will guide him through these difficult times.

Please pray for Debbie and her son Jacob. Debbie has been in the hospital for two weeks due to complications with diabetes and after taking a medication given to her by the hospital that she was not supposed to take. She was in a comma for 3 days and has since come out of it, but remains in the hospital. Debbie does not attend NorthPointe, but her son, Jacob, comes with their neighbors. He is having a difficult time processing everything that’s happening, but has been open to having spiritual conversations during this time. Please pray for Debbie and Jacob to both seek Jesus through this ordeal and the ministry their neighbors have with them.

Please pray for our Easter outreach efforts. We are partnering with the local YMCA to host an Easter Egg Hunt event on March 27th. This is a huge open door for us with an organization that has not historically been very church friendly. Please pray that we can build a great relationship with the YMCA through this event and will be able to connect with and invite families to our Easter services. Also pray for the 500 Easter service invite cards we’ll be hanging on doors in Lincoln the week before Easter. Pray that the families that receive them will be open to coming to worship with us that weekend as we celebrate the resurrection!

SouthPointe Christian Church

Ginny has been in recovery for 35 years, but just recently, she said “yes” to Jesus and acknowledged Him as her Lord and Savior. Pray for her in the early days of her walk with Christ.

Lisa has been attending SouthPointe for the last month or two. Currently, she considers herself a Buddhist. Pray for her to see the beauty of Jesus and to commit her life to Him.

Dennis, Tanner’s friend from Rotary club, has been participating in a SouthPointe home group for about a year. He is divorced and is the only employee at his own business. He has been attracted to the community at SouthPointe, but pray that he says “yes” to Jesus.

Mark is Tanner’s friend and realtor. He came to SouthPointe for the first time Sunday. He is dearly loved by our two children. Pray that he sees Jesus in us and that he is able to trust the love of Christ.

BridgePointe Christian Church

Please pray for Paddy. In March of 2014, her young adult daughter was tragically killed. In the midst of her grief, she turned to God and accepted an invitation to BridgePointe from a friend. Pray that she experiences the comfort and healing of the Holy Spirit in this anniversary month of the loss of her daughter. Paddy has also expressed curiosity about baptism and commitment to Jesus. Please pray that she chooses to surrender completely to Jesus.

There are several couples within the church that have experienced trouble within their marriages over the last couple of months. Please pray that God will protect and heal these marriages from the effects of Satan, sin, and selfishness. Pray that these couples seek Godly counsel and begin the path the reconciliation and restoration.

A family came to BridgePointe for the first time this weekend. They initially heard about the church when they attended the Back to School Fair in August. They desire to “get God in their life” and want to raise their children in the church. Please pray for Gus, Angelica and their children to become disciples of Jesus and connect with the church.

OceanPointe Christian Church

Rebecca was invited to OceanPointe by a family friend of the Parsleys who was visiting last summer; Greg met her while she was working at Home Depot and invited her to come to church one Sunday. Rebecca brought her two daughters with her, and then her sister and her family began attending services, too. Rebecca began helping with greeting and serving communion, decided to be baptized in October at our half-birthday prayer walk, and then even filmed a celebration video talking about the joy she had found in Jesus. We ask for prayers for Rebecca now because she has slipped away from the church and her faith. She’s had a lot of physical pain and family problems this winter, and we are praying that she would remember that her first love is Jesus and want to be back in a community that supports and loves her as she draws nearer to Him. Rebecca’s story also makes our staff want to pursue a more structured discipleship plan, so we also request your prayers for that part of our ministry.

We ask for prayer for Steve. Steve began coming to OceanPointe last April with his roommate, Jim. Steve’s parents have been sick for a long time and are quickly declining in health and mental status, and Steve has been very discouraged as of late. He grew up in the Catholic Church but has really appreciated the welcome he’s found at OceanPointe. We feel that Steve could be close to making a decision for Christ, and we pray that he will soon discover the relentless hope that Jesus can give him in the midst of his discouraging circumstances.

Sydney stopped attending Catholic Church in high school when her family life imploded and she became pregnant with her first son. Sydney came to OceanPointe because of one of our Halloween outreach homes and has brought her two sons and husband with her. She was part of a Group this winter and is interested in serving somewhere on a Sunday, and we can easily see her eagerness to learn more about the church and her relationship with Jesus. Please pray that she would be encouraged in her faith and see tangible fruits from her pursuit of God.

Since last fall our church has been pursuing a contract for renting the space next door to the movie theater where we currently meet on Sundays. We ask that you join us in praying for God’s direction about this venue. God has blessed our relationship with the movie theater staff, and we are so grateful for the headway there! A year ago they were very reluctant to rent theaters to a church since they’d had a bad experience with one renting in the past, but the management has been kind to us and even recently suggested that we use their largest theater on Easter Sunday! We are hopeful that our growing relationship with the owner and staff will lead to a quick and fair acquisition of the open space connected to them for our future 24/7 space.
