An Urgent Prayer Request from Tavriski Christian Institute – Jan 19 2015
Dear Prayer Partners,
We just got this urgent prayer request this morning. I have never taught for TCI (Tavrisky Christian Institute) in Tajikistan, but I have taught Christian Evidences many times for TCI in Ukraine and Republic or Georgia. Please pray! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Dear TCI Friends,
We have an urgent prayer request.
A week ago there were two-week classes of TCI in Tajikistan. During the first week TCI Professor was teaching Tajik speaking students who speak farsi. During the second week when there were classes for the Russian-speaking Christians, one of KGB members came to the church where our classes took place. He didn’t tell anything to TCI Professor who was teaching at that moment. Praise the Lord for the notebooks and digital libraries that have been donated to our students. Due to this there weren’t any Christian books found on the desks. But after the course was over, KGB has summoned our Tajik coordinator to come to them.
Vladimir Lee (our coordinator) came to KGB office today. During their meeting the KGB officers were pressuring him to agree to co-operate with them. He refused to do this, so they gave him time till Thursday to think more about it. But KGB keeps pressuring and threatening him.
We think that there might be few KGB officers who go to the church as the church members or just visitors who provide KGB with all information about TCI classess in Tajikistan.
PLEASE, PRAY for God’s protection over Vladimir and his family. Pray for wisdom and peace for him to know how to speak with KGB officers on Thursday. Pray that they would leave him alone. Pray for protection over the church where TCI classes take place (because it can be deprived of its registration) , over the whole Churches Unity. If some of you would agree to fast on Thursday about this situation we will be very thankful to those partners.
Our Tajik Brothers and Sisters desperately need your prayer support these days.
Grateful for fighting this battle not alone, but together with a strong family in Christ,
