Rain ends, Militia and Military Mobilize

Our main concern is that fighting between the forces of President Salva Kiir and rebels loyal to his former deputy, Riek Machar, will resume as the rainy season ends this month. Millions of people already traumatised by conflict could face famine next year if fighting resumes. Mercy Partners concern is that food supply in South Sudan is falling low and we have been teetering on the brink of Famine. We have undergirded food supplies as far as Northern Bahr El Gazel on the border of Darfur to assist the feeding of hosptal patients. Feeding began TODAY!  This has taken an incredible amount of organization and time to make happen .

Pray that the food we supply will bless those that need it most.

Pray for the native evangelists that are administering care to their people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer results from last week:
We had requested prayer for our Stateside youth to become “Bridge” Missionaries. We are defining this term to duplicate or efforts to bridge cultures.  Missionaries couple with natives working as a team. After presenting this “New” Old concept to over 9 churches in the Hi Plains of America, we have stirred new ambition among Church leaders. We are committed to aid them in training the next generation, stay posted to see how our meetings develop and pray as we work together to address the needs of training.
