If you are involved in short term missions, as a goer, sender or receiver, then you should read this!

Among our churches and missions, there is a strong dependence on short-term missions: adults missions or youth programs.  We spend a lot of time and money going for short periods of time.  This is also one of the major ways that churches of all sizes recruit missionaries.  So, it only makes sense that we give serious time and attention to making sure we know what we are doing and do it well.
That’s why we have asked Standards of Excellence to come and lead a 12-hour seminar.  This $175 value is only $50 if you register for ICOM, too.  You can read about this group at www.soe.org.  They area a highly reputable group, and they walk leaders through their 7 standards of excellence on leading a mission trip.  This seminar is Wednesday from 5 to 9 pm, Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm (with an hour break for lunch). Click here to read about it on our website. This event is sponsored by Managed Missions Software.
Another great pre-con to attend is the Community Health Evangelism (CHE) seminar. This Pre-Con will run Wednesday 9  am to 5 pm & Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm. The cost is $35 if you register for ICOM, but this group is limited in size to 32 spots.  It is half full right now.   There is more information online by going here. This event is being sponsored by FAME (Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelists).
