Project New Hope just completed the first full year of our leadership transition this month. Some things have changed, but the work continues uninterrupted and focused on our original mission, vision, and values. The overall vision continues to guide our decisions and work in Ecuador and Peru. PNHI still exists to give hope to those who have lost hope in South America. Hope lost because the people are gripped by poverty, socially abandoned, suffering emotionally and physically, and far from God; this is the passion of our South American team. Read more
Peru & Ecuador Update ~ Mike & Dani
We have a new member in our family. Her name is Jazmin, and she is 14 years old. When we first met Jazmin, she had run away from home twice. When the police found her after her second attempt, Jazmin’s mother told them she didn’t want her daughter to come back home and live with them. Her mother was really desperate, and the police were advising her to put Jazmin in a rehabilitation home. These homes are awful places where the kids are drugged and beaten. Jazmin’s plight broke our hearts, so we prayed about it and offered to have her stay with us. Her parents agreed. Read more
