In a recent report published in US News & World Report Magazine, Christian City Nursing Home scored 4 and 5-star rankings, placing it among the country’s top nursing homes. Qualifications for the high marks included high results on health inspections, quality of nursing staff, and measures of overall quality of care.

Christian City is excited to host The History and Legacy of the English Bible. Collector Michael Morgan will speak on the “first generation” of the English Bible and bring several antique Bibles to display. His collection of almost 4,000 volumes includes Bibles, Testaments, Psalters, and Liturgies.

This free event is open to the public and sponsored by Christian City’s Life Enrichment Department and the Christian City Men’s Club. All are invited to enjoy this fascinating and educational presentation. Morgan, longtime organist at historic Central Presbyterian Church and Columbia Theological Seminary, will speak in the Sparks Inn Auditorium on the Christian City campus at 3:00 pm. A question and answer session will follow. Mark your calendar for this year’s holiday celebration that raises funds for children in need. The annual Chair-ity Event features refreshments and a silent auction of custom decorated chairs donated by local artists and children at The Children’s Village. Other auction items from past years have included vacation getaways, collectibles, sports memorabilia, gift baskets, and more. It’s a fun place to get some holiday shopping done while helping support The Children’s Village.
