Sunday
Pray for our personnel who receive news that brings grief, that they will be surrounded by co-workers and national friends to comfort them and share their sorrow.
Monday
Many choose to return to their families during times of grief. Pray that God will uphold them as they hastily pack and prepare to leave.
Tuesday
Arranging travel on short notice can be difficult and costly. Pray that God will supply suitable flights and the funds to pay for them.
Wednesday
They may arrive in their home country physically and emotionally exhausted. Pray that God will surround them with caring family and friends who will minister to them and help meet their needs for clothing, phones, a vehicle, and numerous other things.
Thursday
Sometimes, by choice or necessity, they remain in their host country. Pray that they will be able to grieve with their families via internet connections.
Friday
Personnel who sustain a loss within their family on the field may choose initially to remain in their host country, surrounded by co- workers and friends. Pray that their extended families will accept this decision even if they do not understand it.
Saturday
Pray that wherever they are, and whatever the reason for their grief, they will be fully aware of God’s comforting presence every moment of every day. |
