Missionary Update

Norma Lee Burney
We received word through Don Orr from Champaign, IL, Norma Lee Burney, married to Donald Giltner Burney, passed after a brief illness.
Donald and Norma met while serving at the McKinley Indian Mission in Toppenish, WA.  Mrs. Burney was a graduate of Lincoln Bible Institute in the late 40’s. The Burney’s arrived in Japan in 1955 after Donald had been stationed there while in the Navy.  They served in Japan until 1992, when they felt called to move to Russia and spent ten years in Irkutsk & Ust’Iliminsk, Siberia.   They returned to Japan in 2003 for a few months and then returned to the US.  In 2009, Don had a stroke and passed away.
Please keep your thoughts & prayers with the Burney family.

Completion of the Yalunka Bible

Congratulations to Greg & Rebecca Pruett upon their completion of their Yalunka Bible, which took 20 years to complete.  We will have posted the most recent newsletter on our missionary stories page in a few days.  There is a short message from Max Lucado, followed by a message from Greg.  You will want to also see the early pics of Greg as they began this new work.  Follow this link to that article and videos.
