SOUTH SUDAN CRISIS UPDATE | 7 JAN 2013
Almost 25,000 South Sudanese refugees have arrived in neighboring Uganda since violence erupted last month, pushing Uganda to open up new camps. In three weeks, 189,000 people have been displaced inside South Sudan and 23,000 have crossed into neighboring countries.
Up to 400,000 people could be displaced if the fighting continues.
Uganda is the most popular destination for the refugees, with almost 25,000 arrivals since the crisis began.
Many of the refugees are traumatized, tired and sick. Among the most vulnerable are 51 unaccompanied children and a further 160 children who were separated from their parents but travelled with other relatives.

• Pray that our efforts in neighboring countries will reach the refugees in and that they may experience the love of Jesus.
• Pray that they can meet the Prince of Peace in a time of War.
In a time of great obstacles, God has place us in the midst of some wonderful opportunities. Opportunities that need funding.
• Pray that we will receive specific partnership for the specific projects we are assembling for outreach and for peace efforts.
