Aatma Vikas is Hindi for “self-progress.” This self-sufficiency program is dedicated to helping marginalized people groups in India. Through six vocational training programs, students are taught skills which will enable them to become self sufficient. They are also trained on holistic health and hygiene practices by the CICM Nursing College. Many of these villagers earn less than $1 a day, working jobs such as rolling local cigarettes. Aatma Vikas gives them a chance to leave these exploitative trades, and take themselves and their families out of poverty. With the help of local CICM pastors, we also provide students an opportunity to hear the Gospel each and every training class.

We have seen God’s hand on this ministry thus far, and are excited to see what He will bring in the future!  In 2014, we expand into northeast India, serving women trapped in the sex-trafficking industry. We ask that you consider supporting Aatma Vikas as Central India Christian Mission continues to follow where the Lord is leading. Thank you, we are grateful for your commitment to CICM.

Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. John 6:27
