It has been a good summer for Impact Prayer Ministry and I’m excited to share a little about what God has been doing and about some projects that are currently underway to help people grow in a lifestyle of prayer.
The most recent prayer-based devotional book, "A Worthy Calling", was completed this summer and after a cover design change is now available on Amazon in both print and Kindle editions. This book is thirteen weeks of daily devotions with each week wrapped around a different aspect of how each of us ought to be serving.
Current Writing Projects
In a first for me, I am currently working on three different writing projects at once! Up until this time, one project would be nearing its end before my prayer time would lead to an idea for the next book. I’m not yet sure on the order of completion or even the projected timing, but the above photos represent my current book writing projects. "Praying For Your Child" will be a 31-day devotional journal with each day focused on something different to pray for a child of any age. "Here Am I" will also be a 31-day devotional journal with each day focused on a different aspect of living life as a sacred calling even in the midst of everyday tasks. "Holding On and Letting Go" will be a prayer-based devotional designed to help those who are dealing with the chaos of disaster. The daily devotions will alternate between things we need to hold on to in the midst of chaos and things we ought to let go of. In addition to these book writing projects, I continue to write topical, scripture-based prayer guides every week.
Impact Prayer Ministry will have a busy fall season but there is still room for you and your church to schedule a prayer conference, seminar, or retreat at your location!
September 9: Leading a Growing Strong in Prayer Conference at the First Church of Christ – Christian Church in Niles, Michigan.
October 4-5: Display at a Michigan & Ohio Christian Educators’ Convention in Temperance, Michigan.
November 15-18: Display at the International Conference on Missions in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Impact Prayer Ministry has received a request from a prison chaplain to provide a copy of our book, "In Christ Alone" and a Bible reading calendar to each of the 750 inmates in the prison she works at. Praise God that He has raised up a generous donor to provide the funds necessary to send the books! I am still working through the logistics of getting the format of the calendars accepted by the prison, so I ask that you join me in praying that God will both make the way and provide the funds for the calendars.
