The Blessing of Hospital Births
It’s a very special thing if you happen to be in Peredo when a mama gives birth. Several of our teams have had the privilege of being on site during labor and delivery. Some praying in the waiting room for mama, baby, family, and medical staff. Some assisting our midwives. Some donning gloves, holding the hands of a mama, and wiping sweat from her brow, all while wishing desperately for knowledge of more Creole words of encouragement! All celebrate when baby enters the world!
This blog is chock full of great photos and stories! Hear more about this little guy’s birth, the unexpected blessing of the hospital on our school, and see PCH baby Widelyne as she turns one! Read: The Blessing of Hospital Births

Pastor Oxy
If you happen to pull up to the school at Grand Bois, you will be blessed if the shortest man on the mountain, Pastor Oxy, greets you as you get out of your vehicle! Standing all of a mere 5 feet tall, if that, Oxy has been the heart and soul of the ministry in Grand Bois since its beginning. This blog and these photos are our tribute to this friend, partner, and God-loving man! Pastor Oxy

Teams: Surviving the Summer Heat
As we prepare for Summer 2018 teams, we wanted to update and re-share this summer gear blog. It was originally published in May 2017, but we’ve added some new tips!
Traveling to Haiti can be intimidating and exciting all at the same time. Your experience will depend your thirst for adventure, prior travel experiences, and enthusiasm for embracing new things outside your comfort zone for a week. To most Americans, Haiti almost always feels hot. When we leave the snow in February, the tropical climate is a welcome relief. But, traveling to Haiti in the summer can be downright brutal because of the stifling heat. Check out these tips and gear recommendations that can make the heat just a bit more bearable: Tips for Surviving Haiti’s Summer Heat
