Monday
Several people groups here now have access to major portions of God’s Word in their heart language. Pray for transformed lives as people read and hear these Scriptures.
Tuesday
Distributing translated Scriptures is hampered by religious opposition, the absence of networks of local churches, and the logistical challenges of traveling to remote areas. Pray for wisdom to know how to overcome each obstacle.
Wednesday
Audio Scriptures, storytelling, and listening/discussion groups are appropriate ways to share God’s Word in oral cultures where reading is not a way of life. Pray for responsive hearts as people hear His truth.
Thursday
Followers of the dominant religion here are concluding a month-long fast. Pray that the spiritual sensitivity many experienced while fasting will open their hearts to faith in Christ.
Friday
West Africans who choose to follow Christ often face severe persecution. Pray for courage to choose Christ and to withstand the resulting social and economic hardships. Pray that local believers will encourage each other in ways that testify to others of Christ’s love.
Saturday
Our team needs on-site translators, literacy consultants, administrators, and Scripture engagement workers. Pray that God will send the right people to fill these and other critical roles.. |
