Good News & Church Growth- April News From Orchard Group
We love starting new churches!
One of the most rewarding parts of church planting is seeing new churches setting down roots, growing, and developing.
COLLECTIVE CHURCH is setting down roots in Los Angeles. Recently they were able to acquire new worship space. This space allows them easy accesibility, room to grow, and the ability to worship on Sunday mornings. After a long period of trying to find good space (always a challenge in center city locations), this space is a true blessing.
Congratulations to EPIPHANY CHURCH in Brooklyn, New York City!
Epiphany celebrated their 2nd birthday with rousing worship, joyful celebration, and powerful preaching. God is moving through this church. They are focused on making disciples of Jesus and experiencing rapid growth as a result. This presents challenges as the young church keeps outgrowing their worship space! Keep Ephipany and lead pastor Brandon Watts in your prayers as they minister in Brooklyn.
"It is difficult to make predictions, especially if it’s about the future." Mark Twain
While we can’t predict the future, we must pay attention to the global trends and cultural forces that are shaping it. Otherwise we will miss out on being well prepared to faithfully serve God in our day and in the days to come!
Baptisms at Renewal Church in Chicago and New City Church in Phoenix
Record attendance at The Gathering in Harlem, Thrive Church in Orlando, and Trace Church in Colorado Springs
Multiple first- time visitors at Pro Deo in Cape Town, South Africa, and Village Church in Buffalo, NY
This is just a small snapshot of reports we’re hearing from churches around the world. Easter Sunday is an amazing opportunity to share the good news of Jesus with people who might otherwise be reluctant to attend church! From people in Japan who are hearing of Jesus’s resurrection for the first time to a single mom in New York City who wants to raise her children in a Christian community, lives are being changed through churches started through Orchard Group.
Thank you for your partnership in church planting – it makes all of this possible!
