Greeting in the Name of our Risen Lord JESUS! I am home in North Carolina after a 3-month mission trip to Florida that went wonderfully.
The winter months had me do 4 motorcycle events. January: Gibtown Bike Fest (Tampa, Fl) February: Cape Coral Bike Night & Thunder by the Bay (Sarasota) Cape Coral attracts about 8,000 riders to the 5 hr event. The JESUS Bike garnered a lot of attention & the ministry from it was good. Thunder by the Bay was reorganized this year & held at the Sarasota Fairgrounds. This made it easier to minister & talk to folks than previous years when the event was spread out all over town. I attended the street party Friday night, participated in the ride Saturday & entered the Bike Show Sunday after church. Saturday & Sunday, I also spent all my remaining time at the Fairgrounds. It was a busy & full weekend, praying, laughing & crying with folks. GOD was glorified & fruit borne. I also spoke at many churches during the 3 months & had a few book signings for Two Wheels A Blazing. (Still available at http://www.christianriders.org/book/ )
MARCH blew me to Daytona Beach for Daytona Bike Week. What an incredible & blessed week it was. I entered 5 bike shows with the JESUS Bike, always talking myself hoarse explaining JESUS’ sacrifice for our sins. (The bike won 3- 1st place awards.) I also attended the Annual Leather & Lace Motorcycle Club Rodeo. It was a fun day watching biker games & talking about JESUS. Again, I got to cry & pray with a new sister.
We have a huge need of a new 7×14 trailer so we can transport the JESUS Bike to local events & to the Sturgis Rally in August. Our budget will not accommodate this, so we need to raise $2,000. April, I plan to work on book #2 while resting up physically for what will be a very busy May! I have a Veterans Bike Show to attend April 14. May has 3 events scheduled.
