Give Here to Make Our Ministry Possible

What Have We Been Up To?

Hi Everyone,
I’m sorry it has been such a long time since we last wrote to you. The last 3 months have been filled with visiting churches and sharing about the work in Vanuatu. Since our last newsletter we have shared at Cornerstone CC in Texas, River Oaks CC in Oklahoma, and Central Community CC, First Christian Church of Adamsville, Hampton CC, Range Community CC, and Boones Creek CC of Tennessee! Above is a picture of us sharing at Hampton Christian Church last month.

In addition to visiting churches Craig is continuing to study in the Leadership Training course that he is taking. He is also helping with IT in Vanuatu via Skype, and has spent countless hours preparing special protective laptop cases for our translators to use for their translation laptops.  I (Katy) have completed the Roots of Care training workshop that I was working on. I am hard at work filling our time here in the US with as many visits with churches and individuals as possible (we hope to see you soon!) I am also doing homeschool with both of our boys. Elijah is excelling in 1st grade and Josiah is enjoying working slowly through a relaxed preschool curriculum.

In the coming months we will continue traveling and sharing about the work God is doing in Vanuatu. While we have not chosen the exact date yet, we plan to return to Vanuatu in early October. Our schedule is really filling up so if you’d like to visit with us and we haven’t gotten together with you to plan something yet, please contact us ASAP. We don’t want to miss you!

Good Stewards

Pioneer Bible Translators works hard to be good stewards of the funds that you give. As you can see in the chart above, over 70% of all the funds received go directly to Bible Translation and Literacy work! When you make a donation to Pioneer Bible Translators, you make our ministry possible! Together with you, we are putting God’s word into the hands of the ni-Vanuatu and they are so excited to read it. Thank you so much for giving!

Right now we have partners committed to giving only about 70% of the funds needed for our ministry to thrive. If you want to help fill the gap, you can make one-time or recurring gifts through the link below.

Truck Fund

As you know, one of our goals while we are here on Home Assignment is to raise funds to purchase a vehicle when we return to Vanuatu later this year so that we will have safe and reliable transportation. So far you all have given just over $2,000 of our $30,000 goal. This is a great start; thank you to all of you who have given! On Easter Sunday, our ministry partners at Range Community Christian Church in Elizabethton, TN are collecting a special offering for our truck fund. Would you consider joining them in making a special gift? You can do so by clicking the link below and selecting “Bennett Vehicle Fund” from the drop-down menu. Thank you!

Craig’s Dad in the Hospital

Over the last two weeks Craig’s dad has been admitted to the hospital twice due to cellulitis in his leg and complications from the infection. We are in Nashville now doing what we can to help him. We are hoping and praying that he will be out of the hospital and into a rehab facility soon to begin doing physical therapy to regain strength in his legs. Please join us in praying for his recovery and for his health.
