However, LIA Somaliland has approached us with very minimal input, but made practical differences in our quality of education in short period of time by solving key problems like safe water supply, provision of school supplies, reference books, white boards, other teaching aid, planting trees, and providing technical guidance and consultation on teaching methodologies that has restored our hope to see a better future.”

Dear Mission,
Within an environment such as Somaliland, we can easily become discouraged by the doors Satan has worked to closed to keep the gospel out. However, the Lord is mighty and strong to save and his Word will prevail wherever he wishes! We have been so encouraged by the favor the Lord has given LIA in this country and for the work we’ve been able to do through various initiatives. Join us as we praise God for all the work he is doing and pray with us for the nation of Somliland:

Give Thanks:

The Port in Somaliland is gaining new life and attracting partnerships and investors that are benefiting the economy of this nation. Thank God for his favor on Somaliland.
Give thanks for how the LIA Transformational Development Model has prevailed amidst closed circumstances. LIA-Somaliland has paved the way for church based transformation in a very innovative manner using the school communities as fertile soil to plant the wholistic transformation seed.

Prayer Requests:

A team of missionaries is visiting Somaliland to seek partnership opportunities. This is a sign that God is sending his people to the field in Somaliland. Pray for their exploratory trip that God will guide their every step, conversation, and decision.
There is great need in Somaliland. Pray that the Lord would provide through generous donation to help us begin new work in other communities.
Pray for the Country Director as he leads LIA-Somaliland, that he will be deeply encouraged and upheld with strength and vision.
Pray for the political and government leaders, including the nation at large, to have sustainable peace and stability. Pray for more favorable policy so that LIA and other development partners may serve the Somaliland communities in fruitful manner.
Pray for two of our partner churches in Somaliland to actively engage in evangelism and discipleship by using all the given opportunities like the integrated school health project and community health initiatives in the IDP camp to reach out to the Muslim communities.
