God at Work in 2017
This year I was blessed to see God work powerfully on five continents.
In January, along with many of you at our Global Gathering, I witnessed God’s work in India through a joyous church that is multiplying in the face of opposition. There God works in ministries that evangelize, plant churches, feed the hungry, and care for orphans and widows.
In June, I again saw God work in his church through wholistic evangelism in Swaziland, growing churches, providing healthcare, and training leaders. Plan to be there April 18-21, 2019 at our next Global Gathering, to witness that work yourself.
November found me in Colombia, meeting with Christians and government leaders involved in the peace process. There, God is empowering Christians to live out the good news of Jesus by struggling through the difficult path of making peace.
I just returned from Germany, where God is with church leaders who are faithfully and creatively sharing the gospel in a culture where few regularly attend church. Those leaders are not discouraged but are relying on the power of the good news.
And I have been to Canada and to ten of the United States this year. There I have witnessed the courage to be Christian in a society where truth and grace seem to be in short supply.
This is the ministry of World Convention. To connect our churches throughout the world so we can see the hand of God at work. Thank you for the prayers, gifts, and stories of faith you have shared in 2017.
