NIGHT OF HOPE 2017

Ajai Lall speaking at the FAME Night of Hope

What a great night we had at FAME’s Night of Hope on November 3. The Night of Hope brought together friends and partners from several different nations and dozens of churches from throughout the midwest.

Over the course of the evening, short-term mission trip participants were recognized, the silent and live auctions were a lot of fun with some wonderful items, we heard a great message by Dr. Ajai Lall, and there was recognition by Governor Eric Holcomb of Ajai as an Honorary Hoosier, presented by Josh McCarty. A big Thank You to Hazel Dell Christian Church for hosting our event! The total proceeds for the evening are still coming in, but they are already the largest amount received at our Night of Hope in the last 5 years.

YOU, our faithful FAME donors, have made it possible for these funds to go directly to the Central India Christian Mission (CICM) Hospital in Damoh, India. Thank you so much for your support of this project.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MISSIONS

The International Conference on Missions (ICOM) exists to Encourage,  Equip and Enlist workers for the Harvest.

Plan to stop by and visit the FAME booth at ICOM in Peoria, IL this week November 16-19. We will be at booth #909. Also, Lonnie Burley, FAME’s Director of short-term trips, will be conducting the workshop, Take One Dose of Hope, and Call Me in the Morning. This workshop will answer the question of what can we do to help people who are ill in developing countries and how does any of what we do bring people closer to Christ?

We hope to see you in Peoria!

SHARING THE LOVE OF CHRIST IN HAITI

Earlier this month, our Haiti short-term team was blessed to be able to serve alongside our Haitian brothers and sisters of Haitian Christian Mission (HCM) in providing medical/spiritual care through multiple mobile medical clinics to people living in remote communities who have little to no access to healthcare.

Mobile medical clinics help to open doors for national Evangelists who are called to reach people for Christ in a specific community. Illnesses are treated by the medications that are dispensed by our team, but the long-lasting treatment for all of life’s challenges lies in knowing Jesus. Mobile medical camps enhance the ministry of local Evangelists and help draw attention to the Great Physician and His healing.

While in Haiti, the team also had the opportunity to attend a Haitian worship service, visit a local Haitian community, learn about the culture, and engage in other activities and ministries of HCM.
