Don’t Stop Praying!

Dear family and friends,

You are invited to celebrate the completion of Pioneer Bible Translators’ Vision Building and John Relyea Prayer tower, and to participate in a simultaneous reading of the entire Bible in multiple languages, Saturday November 4, at 1:00 p.m.7255 West Camp Wisdom Road, Dallas, TX.

Your presence and participation will help make this a memorable day, honoring God and His Word.  The centerpiece of this dedication will be a read-through of the entire Bible by 300+ participants.  Everyone will simultaneously read different portions of Scripture in whatever translation or translation they choose.  Will you join this choir of readers? Will you invite other friends and family to participate, as well?

On the day of Pentecost, when the Church was born, everyone marveled—not at the tongues of fire or the rushing wind, but at hearing God’s Word in their own language.  Come, honor God and His Word by taking part in this unique experience!  You can RSVP at https://pioneerbible.org/events/visiondedication  so that we can reserve a portion of Scripture for you to read.

With this new Vision Building, we are positioning our team for the mission ahead of us,  to fulfill our part in God’s mission of bringing his Word to the world, as we lean into this next phase of growth.  With the Prayer Tower, it is our dream to foster constant intercessory prayer for Bible Translation efforts globally.

If my late husband, John Relyea were alive, I am quite sure that he would be at the forefront of this prayer focus.  Prayer was his heartbeat.  In fact, the very last words our family heard him utter were these:  “Don’t stop praying!”  Let that be our battle cry!

All of us who knew John well, know that he was never the kind of person that would think anything at all would be named after him.  But all of us who knew and loved him were keenly aware that  prayer was his passion. It is very meaningful that his prayer-legacy can continue inspiring God’s people to deeper prayer.

Thank you SO much for your faithful prayers this month.  Don’t stop praying.

Blessings,
Marsha
(for Nathan, as well)

Prayer Prompts

Pray for Norm Mundhenk and Aruamu men Martin Ases, John Igos, Francis Dagonov, and Michael Sagumai as they are currently in Madang, Papua New Guinea working on the final consultant check on the Aruamu translations of Ezekiel and Amos.

Pray for Marsha as she works on checking consistency of terms, spelling, and formatting in Aruamu Old Testament books.

Praise God for the good work of the Paratext (Bible Translation Software) Prioritization Committee this last month, as they evaluated needs and requests and made decisions about what to work on over the next year.

Praise God.  In October, a brand new Steering Committee for Deaf Bible Translation Software met to begin discussions about what software is needed by Deaf Translation Teams.  There are at least 400 Deaf Sign Languages around the world.

Pray for the Aruamus who are leading Faith Bible College, and for their outreach with the gospel into contiguous areas.

Praise God for the excellent Bible Translation Conference in Dallas this last week, and the fruitful interactions between over 400 Bible Translation folks from around the world.

Pray for clean water solutions for the Aruamu area of Papua New Guinea.
