RESTORE CHRISTIAN CHURCH
- Last Sunday, we celebrated with five people who were baptized!! Here are their stories:
- Chris recently moved to Quincy and started attending Restore. He came to Restore for the first time already having made the decision to follow Christ and be baptized. Pray that Chris is able to build relationships quickly with other people from Restore and grow in his faith.
- Kim has been part of the Restore community for a year, and it has been incredible to watch her grow. Kim is a natural leader and is an integral part of our setup team. Pray for Kim as she continues to takes steps of faith.
- Kate came to Restore on launch Sunday almost two years ago, and then…she didn’t. For the last six months she has been back with us on Sundays exploring her faith and finding community. It was so encouraging to see her choose to follow Jesus and be baptized! Kate’s story has been a reminder to us that, sometimes, seeing fruit in ministry takes a long time. Kate is the only person in her family who follows Jesus, so please pray for her in the coming months.
- Paul is a very private person, so it wasn’t a surprise to find out that he had never publicly declared his faith in Christ and be baptized. He and his wife, Beth, have been part of Restore for almost two years and it was a joy to baptize him. Pray that Paul continues to open up and take steps of faith.
- Alex has been at Restore since launch, and she has such an inspiring story. She came to Restore with a lot of questions and skepticism God, but immediately connected with several people. This note from Alex was read before her baptism: “I want to be baptized to relinquish all control and to allow God to work in my heart and in my life. I pray that my words, thoughts and actions would be a reflection of God’s love and that I may live the life God has always intended for me.”
- The Restore staff recently had a staff retreat where we took some time to dream about the future. Pray for endurance as we work toward the goals we have for the Fall and beyond, and pray that God’s will would be done at Restore.

NorthPointe CHRISTIAN CHURCH
- Thank God for those serving this weekend in Operation Stand Down’s Outreach Weekend, a secular service to homeless and low-income veterans, led by Tony DeQuattro, another NPer. Our team will serve the vets and lead a worship service on Saturday evening. Pray that people will come to Christ through our witness.
- Thank God for those who have stepped up to serve in our finance and leadership teams: Mike and Donna Martineau, Phil Fish, Mike and Holly Salerno, Brian Verboort, Mark Brown, Jennifer Haynie, Mike Scalzi, and Julie Signa. People serving in these roles will be key in getting our finances in order and guiding NP into growth as a church. Ask God to give them an unbreakable sense of unity/trust and the wisdom to guide well.
- Thank God for all the coordinators who drive the work of our teams: Ben Haynie, Gus and Debbie Piazza, Carol Miller, and Danielle Boucher. Pray that God will guide them with the Lord’s own heart and strength.
- Thank God for the Afonso family who joined us for the New to NP Lunch on Sunday. Kevin and Liz were baptized into Christ 8 years ago, but feel the need to reconnect with God and the church. They want to serve. They’ve also invited us to have conversations with their teenage children about baptism into Christ.
- Thank God for leading the Vanderputten family recently moved from WI because of work relocation. They are all active believers from a Bible-centered church. They are eager to serve with NP.
- Ask God for people to continue to get involved. We especially have needs in the NP Kids area. Having to temporary scale back some of our kids programming has been discouraging and disappointing to people. We have enjoyed having the children in the adult gathering, but we want kids to be able to connect with God and others in an age-appropriate environment.
- Pray that people will fully embrace the new mission statement: “NP exists to be WITH God, WITH each other, and WITH our community.” We hope people will relate to how Jesus became incarnate to be with us in the same way we can bring Jesus with us to our gatherings and neighborhoods so that everyone can have hope in Jesus.
- Ask God to show us an affordable 24-7 location as a tool to be more of an integral part of northern Rhode Island for the sake of the Gospel. We are releasing our lease on our office and moving out by December so before then we will need some office, worship practice, and Student Ministry meeting space.

- Please continue praying with our Poland Mission Team. We are getting closer and closer to their trip and they are preparing for this awesome experience! We are thankful for the love that everyone has shown them and the overwhelming support through prayers.
- We would like to give praise to God for the growth in attendance that we have seen lately! We are so happy that so many new people are gathering to hear His word! However, this presents the need for more space. We are filling up the theatre and the classrooms! Please pray that we will be able to utilize every inch of the space we have now, and that God’s hand will be over us if a new opportunity comes up.
- Praise for 2 baptisms that happened this past Sunday! We are so glad that both of these wonderful ladies made the decision to give their lives to God! Pray that they continue to grow and learn about Christ and that we will be able to walk with them on this journey!
- And please be praying as we are getting closer to the holidays. We are planning and preparing for some really great events in the community!
