Over 400 signed languages are used by Deaf people around the world, none of which has a complete translation of the Bible yet. Pray that God will raise up the translators needed to start new translation projects among the Deaf.
Monday
About 62 million people—90% of the world’s Deaf population—live in Deaf people groups that are unreached. Pray that God will raise up men and women to serve every Bibleless, churchless Deaf community.
Tuesday
Five key partner organizations are involved in Deaf Bible translation. Pray that we will collaborate well and work in God-honoring unity with them.
Wednesday
We are seeking to recruit and equip Deaf Christians to serve as translators and church planters among unreached Deaf communities. Pray that God will start a mobilization movement among Deaf Americans. Pray that He will raise up a new generation of Deaf leaders burdened to see all Deaf peoples come to know Christ.
Thursday
We desire to start new sign language projects by evaluating global needs and collaborating with international partners. Pray that God will grant us wisdom and guidance in this process.
Friday
Adding Deaf Christians to our team creates multicultural work environments. Pray that God will give our hearing teammates cross-cultural humility and sensitivity.
Saturday
Pray that in this generation every Deaf community in the world will have churches using Scripture to grow, mature, and multiply. |
