RESTORE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

RESTORE has been reaching out to our community by throwing Block Parties in neighborhoods throughout Quincy.  We have already had two events and will have three more in the next month.  Pray for all the people with whom we have already connected and those we have yet to meet.  Pray that more and more people in Quincy will find and follow Jesus.

Last Fall, Tom and Viviane adopted a girl from Haiti.  It was a very long process and a lot of prayers were answered.  Please pray for them as it’s been very difficult to adjust to a new family dynamic.  Pray for Tom, Viviane, and their daughter, Faith.

Please pray for two people in Quincy—Margaret and Walter.  Pray that they follow Jesus and that their influence will allow the Gospel to become more widespread in our city.

NORTHPOINTE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Thank God for Hunter, Jacob, Brian, RyAnn, and Antonio who took the next step and were baptized into Christ in July.  Three sisters from the Oasis Christian Church, downtown Providence, were also baptized at NPCC in one of our gatherings.  Pray that God will provide them all with the mentors they need to continue to grow in Christ.

Thank God for the ministries of Justin & Jamie Hagan and Jacob Vangen who will be relocating to other ministries.  They will be missed, but we trust God will bless their work moving forward.

Praise God for Derrick & Opal, Lisa, Brian, Norm, Dave & Kate, and more who have stepped up to join other faithful volunteers so that NPCC can move forward on mission.  Pray that God will continue to increase workers as NCPP connects people with God and one another in the communities of northern Rhode Island.

Jennifer (a member of NPCC) shares the love of Jesus wherever she can.  She met Heather who has two children with special needs.  Her son, Ian, needs a wheelchair; but living in a 2nd floor apartment has greatly restricted his movement and social connections.  Heather found an apartment with only a few steps, but it is in rough condition.  The people of NPCC will gather this Saturday to clean up the yard, install wheelchair ramps, replace flooring, clean, and help move them into their new home.  Jennifer glows when she talks about how God’s love expressed through NPCC will impact Heather and her family.

About 40 people gathered in Lincoln Woods Park on July 9th to kick off summer small groups.  Pray for the four new groups launching this week, that people will make vital connections for their own spiritual growth while inviting others who are far from God to join them.  Pray for these group leaders:  Brian, Phil & Mary, Gus & Debbie, and Bob & Carol.

OCEANPOINTE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

We ask for you to partner in prayer with us and our Poland mission team as they raise funds for their mission trip.  Also please pray for this team as they build relationships with each other and that they will grow closer to God during this time.

We are excited to finally have John Handlos and his family in Rhode Island with us!  They are getting settled into their new home and meeting lots of new people.  Please be praying for their family as they continue to settle in and for the opportunities for service that God has in store.

We serve coffee from one of our local coffee shops in our café every Thursday and Sunday during services.  It has been exciting to see several of their employees come to OceanPointe and jump into serving in various roles.  Please pray that they will have an impact in their workplace every day!

Pray with us as we plan “Wipeout,” our annual beach baptism celebration.  It is an evening of fellowship and fun with our congregation, and we are praying for all the people who are wrestling with the decision to give their lives to Jesus.

SOUTHPOINTE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

I (Tanner) met Billy (not his real name) at a parole and probation meeting.  Like 12-18 people a month, he took my business card for possible community service hours.  However, I did not hear from him, which is not uncommon.  But then God put me right in his path—at the gym.  He visited the workout gym I attend and we happened to be there at the same time.  Billy approached me and said, “I have your card in my drawer and was going to text you sometime, but I looked up and there you were.”  He, his girlfriend, and his mother were at church the following Sunday.  Pray that he continues to take steps of faith.

Joe is a new member of my Rotary club.  He and I connected over coffee after a Rotary meeting.  I had approached our time together as simply a “get to know each other time.”  However, he had visited our website and watched our “Hope for Everyone” video and he initiated a conversation about faith and expressed interest in coming on a Sunday.  Pray that he continues to take steps of faith.

Lori is a manager of a coffee shop near my house.  While I was studying there recently, she came and sat down at my table.  She also initiated a faith-centered conversation and expressed interest in coming on a Sunday.  Pray that she continues to take steps of faith.
