IN REMEMBRANCE OF PEARL READY

     Pearl Ready, Connie’s mother and former Forwarding Agent for Ivory Coast Christian Mission, died on Thursday morning. Pearl lived a long, productive life of ninety-three and a half years. She kept accurate financial records for the mission from the day it was incorporated in 1976 until she relinquished the position in 2011. In the beginning she used a ledger book, but later switched to a computer accounting program. The personal notes she included with the donation receipts encouraged the supporters of the mission and developed long-term relationships.

     Pearl was a blessing to everyone who knew her. Her smile brought encouragement and joy to every situation. Even in her final days at assisted living and then in intensive care she won the hearts of her care givers with her smile and her positive attitude.
