June has been an exciting month! Here are some highlights:
We hosted teams from Rehoboth UMC, Ringgold Church of Christ, with help from four college interns. Teams visited 6 orphanages in our 6.25 feeding program, sharing Christ’s love with 275 children!
We’re growing vegetables! Raised bed gardens have been installed at The Coop, and teams have been building garden boxes to be placed at area orphanages this summer. Vegetables include carrots, tomatoes, peppers & spinach. This is a great opportunity for our 6.25 kids to learn the basics of farming, and to help provide them with nutritious food. Each garden costs approximately $200. Help us grow this project!
Coop There It Is! KORE’s first pilot chicken coop has been installed at one of our 6.25 orphanages. This coop will be a teaching tool for the kids to receive training on farming, business and marketing/sales. Our hope is to provide them with valuable life skills that will help them succeed in life. Help us fill their coop with chicks!
