Sunday “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Pray that they will have genuinely thankful attitudes even in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Monday “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone. My hope comes from Him” (Psalm 62:5). Pray that they will find rest and hope through relying fully and only on God.
Tuesday “You fill me with joy in Your presence” (Psalm 16:11b). Pray that they will be joyfully diligent in taking time each day to nurture their relationship with the Lord.
Wednesday “All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John 13:35). Pray that their love for each other will point people to the One who makes this love possible.
Thursday “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God” (Matthew 5:9). Pray that they will be instruments of peace in the communities where they live and serve.
Friday “Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds” (Psalm 141:4). Pray that they will always resist evil and live pure lives. Saturday “Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Pray that they will not allow disappointment in themselves and others to develop into discouragement. Pray that God’s presence will be a constant source of encouragement. |
