Steve has requested prayer and help for the following three areas. As you pray would you also consider a special donation to meet one of these three needs?

Donations are accepted online at www.sacmonline.org or send a check to MRS BEA MIELKE, c/o SOUTH AFRICAN CHRISTIAN MISSION, 2141 BIG CYPRESS BLVD, LAKELAND FL 33810-2309

1. Pray For Steve’s Furlough 2017

Steve will be returning on a new schedule for this year. He will arrive in the middle of May. Steve will be the featured missionary this summer at Lake James Christian Camp And Retreat Center in Angola, IN.

Steve will be visiting supporting churches and individuals during his stay. One of the key goals is to seek new support. There is a real need for the Mission to have several additional churches or individuals supporting the work. Please pray that God would open the right doors during his stay.

Please pray that God will provide the additional cost of $1,000 for the tickets to and from the United States.

2. Praise for Steve’s Safety

We are thankful that Steve and Sana are safe. Now we are praying that the insurance company will complete their part so Steve can look for another vehicle. Steve wrote:

“About two weeks ago, Sana and I were on our way to the freeway near our home and as I crossed the street, a company pick-up T-boned us smashing into the rear wheel, passenger’s side. He was going very fast and the impact was substantial. Our car had side airbags so no one was hurt or inured.

The driver of the pick-up was also uninjured but our car was undriveable. The impact was directly on the rear axle and bent the wheel under the frame. We had to call a tow-truck and waited for most of the morning. The insurance company has written off the car as ‘economically unviable’ and so will pay out the insured value.

As yet, they have not done so and we are now down to one car, which is very awkward because Rusty Draper, an elder from our Florida supporting church is here on a short term mission trip to work with the kids and the Cape Bible Seminary classes.”

3. Pray for a new copier

Steve’s copier used for all the Cape Bible Seminary classes each week has ceased to function. Steve writes:

“Mark, today another piece of bad news. The photocopier I’ve used for over a decade is now obsolete and cannot be repaired. It is totally bust. They have a refurbished machine for about $450. I cannot make copies of the CBS classes and work for the Gospel 101 Team. Is there any way a kind soul can help with this?”
