at the end of the rope

3 prayers.

Peacekeepers? Although U.N. officials have been sounding the alarms about the possibility of a genocide in South Sudan, a recent session of the UN failed to impose sanctions on arms.

Our Church leads from the front. Evangelist Peter of our church family in Gudele is a signee of a proclamation of peace declared last week leading up to Christmas. As one the signees stated : we are calling for peace “so that our people understand themselves.” – ( Mercy Partners just completed a feeding outreach to 16 tribes. look for report next week).

Why do we work in Uganda? More than one million refugees have fled South Sudan, spilling across borders in East Africa, 400,000 of which cross into Uganda. Roughly 20 percent of those under 5 years old are severely malnourished and many refugees are in critical condition with bullets remaining in their legs. and Others come with parts amputated. Others were severely bleeding.

Three prayers:

1) Mercy Partners Pray that we make the most of what we have with logistics and resources. Pray that God will increase our abilities to impact South Sudan and all of N. Africa.

2) Leaders –Pray for the leaders of South Sudan. Pray that they will yield to Gods will.

3) Disciples and civiliansPray for our disciples and the civilian population that struggle to survive. Pray that God will provide for every need and provide a future.
