To our faithful prayer partners:

Much has happened since we last wrote. Here’s a brief summary:

·         Mike has been focusing on helping our teammates in PNG with IT projects. New Testaments that were published over a decade ago with now obsolete software can be repurposed for digital publication on phones and on the internet. The restructured and cleaned up Kire New Testament (about which we wrote last time) was uploaded to the Digital Bible Library website a couple of weeks ago. Last week he also started the restructuring and cleanup of Ra’o NT so that it can be loaded onto smart phones.

·         Eunice completed several small but significant editorial projects for PBT, most notably assisting with a letter that will soon be mailed to churches and individuals who give directly to our International Service Center here in Dallas and also a booklet of praises and prayer requests for our semi-annual PBT-wide week of fasting and prayer, which begins Monday. She also attended the fall PBT Board of Directors meeting this past weekend on behalf of our teammates in Papua New Guinea.

·         We are continuing to settle into our new home. We hosted a small group of friends (who also happen to be PBT teammates) for a “pumpkin party.” Everyone contributed to the meal by bringing a dish or two made with pumpkin. Fun! It felt good to “practice hospitality” for the first of what we hope will be many times in our new home.

·         And in Papua New Guinea, two New Testaments are very close to being completed. Final checks on both the written Mborena Kam translation and the audio recording of it are almost complete. And the Waran translation has only one more book awaiting the final check by a consultant, which will take place early next year. Both of these translation projects have encountered unexpected challenges and delays. It’s truly wonderful to know that both are approaching the finish line.

Ways you can pray with us:

·         Give thanks for all the Lord’s blessings as we settle into new rhythms of work and house-related tasks.

·         Give thanks for His perfect peace.

·         Pray that we will face each day and all that it holds with joy and with gracious, thankful hearts.

·         Pray that God will heal Mike and restore his energy.

·         Pray that in the minute-by-minute details we will not lose sight of why we are here: to glorify God and to serve Him on behalf of the world’s remaining Bibleless, churchless people.

·         Pray for our teammates in Papua New Guinea, particularly those pushing hard this month toward the goal of finishing the final corrections and recordings of the Mborena Kam New Testament.

Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us and in giving to make our ministry financially possible!
